Definition of Consultation, psychological counselling

Counselling is an intervention, which mainly focuses on personal problems. In such a context, the psychologist helps the client to face emotional difficulties that may be personal, couple, family or sex related intricacies, changes in everyday life or those reasons that cause the break of the psychophysical equilibrium.

The objective of the therapy is to make the individual to acknowledge himself and his social environment, so that he is able to face the difficulties, which can occur in his profession or interpersonal relationships, in such a way that he can significantly reduce his confrontations.

Moreover, counselling applies various communication tools in order to facilitate self-acknowledgement and it also uses the client's personal resources to improve his quality of life and live according to a more creative life orientation.
